Links to Success: Week of 13th January 2008

When I respond from abundance, I can enjoy every success I see, because I know that the universe has plenty for everyone. Liz knows the most powerful force in the universe. When are you going to start using it to change your world?

Be conscious, and think about, everything you do. Make conscious choices rather than doing things without thinking. Living consciously instead of reacting unconsciously is the difference between living awake or living asleep – choose one. Zen Habits gives you a guide to living your life consciously.

If I had to do it over again, I would go places and do things and travel lighter than I have. What would you do if you had your life to live all over again? Hint: it’s not something you’d want to realize when it’s too late. Learn what an 87 year-old woman had to say about living your life without regrets on Wake Up Tiger.

The outcome you want, in which you make more money, feel better about yourself, and live a more fulfilling life, is going to be the result of something you do, of actions you take, of decisions you make. There’s no one else to do it. I love Bill Harris’ articles; they may be long but they’re always full of wisdom. Are you stuck about money or success? 1. I agree that a key to self management is self esteem. I would offer that true life inspiration happens when you find something you love to do and make it a part of your everyday experience. Here’s an exercise:

    1. Write down 10 things you love to do or that bring you the most joy. I call this the “You List”

    2. Then record how many times a day you do one of the things on your list

    3. Give each day of the week a rating from 1-10

    4. Your best day usually comes out to be the day you do the most things on your “You List”

I can easily relate to the first part of the story, in the past I was one of those people pretending you have done something and then be very uncomfortable when someone asks more detailed questions.
It is not a good feeling and being upfront from the beginning really saves you the embarassment later.
