When I first started Life Coaches Blog, I set out with a Creative Commons license that allowed people to share, copy and remix my work as long as I was attributed and it was non-commercial.
As time went by, a few posts of mine were picked up by other sites, which were fine with me.
Until recently, a certain site copied entire posts over…and I realized I didn’t like it anymore. I’d put a lot of effort and time into crafting my work, and I didn’t like seeing it wholesale on someone else’s site without my permission, even if it was attributed properly.
So, omnia mutantur nos et mutamur in illis; ‘all things change and we change with them’. All original work on Life Coaches Blog is now copyright Life Coaches Blog. You can still quote and use parts of our posts, as long as we’re attributed, but you may not copy wholesale any part of our work.
Thank you for respecting our hard work and intellectual copyright.

Were these other sites selling ads around your content? If not, then I would say don’t worry about them.
As Tim O’Reilly says, your biggest problem as a publisher is obscurity, not piracy.
