After watching The Pianist, the true story of how Vladislav Spelman survived the Holocaust as a Jew living in occupied Poland, I wasn’t only struck by the horrors he endured, but also by how privileged I was living my own life.
One of the most effective ways to stop worrying and boost your personal power is to simply focus on what you can, right now, with what you have.
Another way is to acknowledge what you already have in your life right now that you’re grateful for. The little things that you take for granted in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, that already make your life sparkle if you’d only see them with renewed eyes.
For me, it’s meeting up with my martial arts practice group today, with friends I’ve known for years, and a sensei I enjoy training with. It’s the cup of orange juice my mom left me before she went to work. It’s the fact that I’m healthy, of sound mind and body.
And the many wonderful comments you guys left for Life Coaches Blog’s 1st anniversary.
What are you grateful for today?

I am grateful to have finally learned the tools to handle the variety of stresses and obstacles which arise daily. Balance, focus and being present. The best one, letting go, is a muscle we all need to exercise regularly.

Yup this is indeed what I usually do to remain an optimist. To think about what I have now and can do and be grateful.
One simple thing I’m always grateful for everyday is I’m still able-bodied. It just means I still can get to do the things I want to do.

I am grateful I can breathe. I am grateful you can breathe. I am grateful we have the opportunity to be alive and do our best, now. Sunny day, blue sky on green landscape. Warm inside. Loving wife, family, and friends. Having read, and experienced, The 4 Agreements and The Alchemist. Living a principled-life. Touching people.
The journey.
