It’s been an interesting month; first I was on national television, and now I’m appearing in the latest October edition of Nuyou magazine!
Yup, the experience I first told you about how stretching made me look good and feel even better is now out and published, just hot off the press today!
So if you want to see me all made-up and made-over, check out model 22 in the 30 Men We Love special.
Reading my little Q&A segment, I realized there were a few typos, which I guess happens when you have to do an interview in English which has to be translated into Mandarin (I apologize for the double-work to the writer…my Mandarin sucks
).
1) The young stroke patient I coached. Yup, I was her personal coach, but I also had help, together with my fellow coaches, and Adam Khoo with Stuart Tan. While I agree that Chiat Min (whom some of you know) is young at heart, she is slightly more senior in age than I am
2) On the most romantic thing I’ve done. Yes, I did write her a poem, but she wasn’t my girlfriend, just someone I dated in the past. And if you liked that, just wait to see what more I have in store for the lovely girlfriend I have now
(yes, the one who brought me jogging!)
All in all, I want to thank Iris and the Nuyou crew for giving me this chance to be in their feature and making me look really good; I love the hair and that jacket. I had a blast that Saturday and I hope you guys did too
Update: My friend Lester, who also makes an appearance in the magazine, helped me scan in my picture! What do you think?

~~~ I don’t read nuyou cos thre’s nothing on football but I go buy it lah =p …. I think the most romantic thing you have done is the letter which you wrote which in ‘network marketing’ style in nature !
YZ came by AKLTG during POE Mod 2 this evening and we had a good look at the result of your modelling gig. Not too shabby man, at least you look natural enough and luckily you pull that off without looking ‘gay’ like some of your comtempories in the same competition.
Won’t be surprised if you get any further modelling offers…
Heh heh…. well done bro!!
Yup! YZ came down to AKLTG and was all excited with the magazine. I remmeber the first thing i told him was just how handsome and good looking you looked in the picture! Well Done!
Bought it, saw it . Saw Lester too (he’s very popular with my friends =p) The other al was my friend’s friend . What a small world. I think they treaked the Q& A delibrately to cater to the audience.
Hi guys,
Big round of thanks to everyone first
Bren, you thought that was the most romantic? Gee thank you
I had a lot of fun writing it even though I was nervous about it then. You guys’ opinions helped a lot.
And yup, I thought Lester looked really nice in that photo but he doesn’t like it (there were quite a few other shots taken). The stylist loved him too on the set
Haha Pete, I was so nervous the first few shots I turned out really stiff. Luckily for me I changed my state and pulled it off!
Hee thanks Jeslyn, I’m blushing
I had a lot of help with the stylist and the photographer, plus I loved that jacket they had for me (the chicken shirt I was wearing was something else…yup, those patterns on my shirt are chickens! and it’s a Paul Smith to boot!).
Thanks Stuart! I hadn’t checked, that’s a nice big leap!
I thought the letter was the most ‘gao xiao’ =p But they not only tweak your Q&A lah.
