Yesterday one of our Life Coaches Blog bloggers, and dear friend, Paiboon (known affectionately as Uncle Paiboon), flew back to his native Thailand, and in one month’s time he’ll embark on his new spiritual quest: becoming a Buddhist monk for the next 3 months.
I can remember Paiboon mentioning this goal of his for the longest time, in fact he told me it’s something he’s wanted to do since he graduated from University.
Well, Paiboon, you’ve been one of the most unique persons I’ve ever met. You have the warmest smile out of anybody I know in my entire life, and it’s always uplifting and cheerful to be around you. Your friendliness, curiosity, offbeatness and joy are contagious, and I’ve enjoyed all my moments around you.
All the best in your new Hero’s Journey

Yup, second Alvin that Paiboon (or is it Bhaiboon now) has the warmest smile. His sincerity always touches me.
I’m real happy for Uncle Paiboon that he is finally embarking on this significant journey. Can’t wait to hear his experience.

Uncle Paiboon, congratulations for finally having this opportunity to step into the realms of your dreams!!
I’m sure you will greatly benefit from this journey, and after which, we will all be blessed with your new learnings as well, because I know you love to share.
Take care!

Uncle Paiboon, I call him that even when I have a couple of years on him. Every once in a while, he calls me on the phone and asks for coaching (yes, we do coach one another). With him I can ask the most off-the-tangent coaching questions and he seems to make sense of it all.
I’m sure Paiboon (Bhaiboon) will call again before he transcends into monkhood and make the most interesting comments about some ordinary things.
I wonder how it is that it always sound like good-bye but in this instance, I know you’ll be back among our midst again. I’ll miss your quirky logics for the time being.
In the spirit that I understand what your journey entails… take nothing with you so that you can bring back more. You are already a guru in your own rights. Like your brother had, I’m sure you’ll gain a wider perspective of things, a heightened awareness and a sharpened sensory acuity.
Take care and I look forward to your sharing.

Yeah!
All da best to you Paiboon!
I hear that his talents in NLP is legendary. I still remember how he said this to a POE participant during a particularly difficult outdoor exercise when he wanted to quit:
“Why do you climb a mountain with a television on your back?”
And with such finesse, the guy got a “ping” and he did the exercise successfully and even came back to coach.
I also remembered how Paiboon shared with me the strategy of stretching time and the key to sleeping 5 hours/day and still feeling refreshed. I still rememebered the tough time I had to convince him to return me back my handphone, watch and PDA.
Yeah. When Paiboon does something that is going to be good for you, he does it for REAL!
Cheers! =)
A!
