I remember speaking my mind straight out without considering the feelings of other people. I thought it was more &#039;authentic&#039; to express myself honestly than make the other person feel good.

I&#039;d obviously confused tactlessness for honesty, and hadn&#039;t realized that you could be honestly and elegantly so as well, and that people also tend to listen to feedback more readily when it&#039;s presented in a way that makes them feel good about it.

In other words, I didn&#039;t know that there was an art to screwing someone roughly and making them feel good about it at the same time :P</description>
